3 Years Local Ghetto – making parties

3 Years Local Ghetto – making parties

Posted by: on Mar 16, 2014 | 3 Comments

What started with a regular DJ gig at the lovely Panke, quickly became my very own party series. With all the joy but also the duties a party is coming along with. All parties I organized in the past where super cool and music wise also very ahead (“me and my 5 friends”). Moneywise it was always risky but there was always a regular job, where some cash came in. One reason to make parties was that this was the only possibility to hear + play my favorite music AND to make people happy with it. And this is what happens every months at the Support Local Ghetto Parties. This is it, why I still do it.

AGRAPROFIT – Der Film

Posted by: on Jun 2, 2013 | One Comment

FunFact:

[Pic taken in Austria in 2012| maybe the best pic I ever taken] no filter… no editing

I just changed some settings here in the theme with a little help from Chriss to make it easier and faster to post on the fly. The wordpress app seems to work nicely now after the latest update and all the stuff I’m posting to tumblr can also live in here. Cause I’m back with this Ironblogger Berlin thing. Regular posts every week or pay for beer.

Lets see what will happen. I’m truly excited. (like always…)

I wrote a little bit how to do the mixtape series  “sharing means caring” and what is my personal challenge to compile “music for special events” As I’m not a producer but a digger this is even more challenging to find the right music for the soundsystem, the venue and finally also for the people and for the sort of event. (dance floor / background music) So, my biggest dream would be to create the music for a fashion show. Read everything and find the links to all my mixes HERE.

Munich vs. Berlin

Munich vs. Berlin

Posted by: on Jul 4, 2012 | 6 Comments

Hmm. yes  I know, this comparison is a bit unfair. But as I just returned from this experiment, I think I’m allowed to do this. So, what happened? Not much. But I felt homesick. The 1st time in my live I experienced this feeling. Homesick to my lovely Berlin. Dogshit and Hipsters, abandoned places and not yet or never finished buildings and places, friends, my “Büdchen” (the Kiosk next to my house)  lovely Panke, music, my records, the nearly daily network meet ups, the accidental unplanned meet ups on the street, lovely Marketta, good coffee, input and output. So. Yes. I quit. There are some other reasons of course aswell. The job itself was very different from what I expected and I learned a lot about my confidence and my skills. But it was just the most inefficient thing in terms of costs and time.

So, I’m on the hunt again for a job in Berlin. Looking for a job either as event manager (conferences, camps) online project manager (no ad agencies pls.) product manager. I’m open for all cool ideas, apps, online services, strategies and everything which needs to be organized. Feel free to get in touch and/or check my profile on LinkedIn or Xing.

For the Campus Party Europe, the huge tech-conference in Berlin in August I’m an “Ambassador” for the Music + Tech stage, which means I provide ideas and contacts to the organizers and will hopefully moderate some of the panels.

Its huge and I was a bit worried that I will have to listen to techno / minimal / electro / but.. no no no…. fantastic eclectic music, great sound systems and a lot lot –  lot –  of fun with great people. Just friendly people everywhere, no stress, no fights no drug aggressive actions. Thank you FUSION – People! My have spots: Kalkutta, Seebühne, Rootsbase and our lovely camp. Pics after the jump:
