3 Years Local Ghetto – making parties
What started with a regular DJ gig at the lovely Panke, quickly became my very own party series. With all the joy but also the duties a party is coming along with. All parties I organized in the past where super cool and music wise also very ahead (“me and my 5 friends”). Moneywise it was always risky but there was always a regular job, where some cash came in. One reason to make parties was that this was the only possibility to hear + play my favorite music AND to make people happy with it. And this is what happens every months at the Support Local Ghetto Parties. This is it, why I still do it.
DJ Tools workshop with Mad Zach
UPDATE: Pre-Registering here
The Mad Method
Have you ever wished there was a more musical way to make beats than hunching over your computer programming in every little part?
On the 27th of September we will do a “hands on” workshop at Panke Culture e.V. with the infamous live beat maestro, Mad Zach (of DJ TechTools, San Francisco).
Jim Avignon + Neoangin in Berlin
Support Your Local Ghetto” is very delighted to present Jim Avignon’s art and his band Neoangin at the lovely Panke in Berlin Wedding on August 15th. Jim will bring along his Brazilian friend Carlos Dias, a painter with his project “drawing exchange”
Expect a great exhibition, the air heavy with the smell of fresh and possibly still wet paint and a fantastic concert of his project Neoangin. We love his art–think pop art with a heavy dose of cynicism and criticism, which you will also find in his music.

Tool time -> embed Video from Vine
Vine is a little iOS Video application where you can record 7 seconds videos with the iPhone. This video will be than becoming a loop so its like a little animated gif. The video has not be recorded in one take, you can make multiple steps. Really easy to use for e.g. unpacking videos or walks through your building etc.. It is a bit like instagram for little videos with friends and followers. Now finally they updated the version so you can embed it. It’s a fun application with a tons of use cases.
Here you can see the prints for my next support your local ghetto party (26th of April) coming out of the printer:
